In the opening round of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), Prime Bank Cricket Club secured a solid 4-wicket win over Agrani Bank Cricket Club. The standout performer of the match was Aliss Al Islam, who picked up four wickets and played a key role in the victory.

At BKSP Ground No. 4, Prime Bank won the toss and chose to bowl first. Batting first, Agrani Bank struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for just 153 runs in 29.1 overs. Captain Imrul Kayes was the top scorer for his side with 32 runs.

With the ball, Aliss Al Islam led the attack brilliantly with four wickets. Abu Hider Rony supported him well with two wickets, while Enamul Haque, Abu Hasim, and Shamim Mia took one wicket each.

Prime Bank Chases Down Target with Ease

Chasing a modest target, Prime Bank got off to a flying start thanks to Tanzid Hasan Tamim. Opening the innings, he played a quickfire knock of 44 runs off just 32 balls, setting the tone early.

At No. 3, Ariful Islam added a steady 34 runs from 35 balls to keep things on track. Later, Mahmudullah Riyad contributed 23 runs from 42 balls, while Shamim Hossain stayed at the crease with 24 off 30 deliveries.

In the end, Abu Hider Rony remained unbeaten on 11 from 6 balls, finishing the chase comfortably. Prime Bank reached the target with four wickets in hand.

For Agrani Bank, Mohammad Ashraful Hasan took two wickets, while Arif Ahmed, Shohidul Islam, Shuvagata, and Robiul Haque picked up one wicket each.
