On the eve of a crucial encounter against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamsala, Andrew Leipus, the PBKS Head of Sports Science, addressed the media. Leipus focused on the player’s professional conduct within the team environment, opting to distance the franchise from the digital discourse.
“I don’t follow a lot of social media myself,” Leipus stated when questioned about the controversy. “I know there’s been a bit of chatter behind the scenes, vlogging, and whatnot. In terms of his behaviour, Arsh is pretty much a flat line. He’s not up or down. He gives his best out there.”
Addressing the Physical and Professional Balance
Leipus further noted that the team has been working closely with Arshdeep to manage his physical well-being. According to the Head of Sports Science, previous performance inconsistencies were largely linked to physical restrictions rather than attitude. “He’s been feeling a lot better in the last couple of weeks, physically,” Leipus explained. “Overall, he’s pretty consistent with his behaviour and his attitude. He’s a very loud person in the dressing room. That hasn’t changed. He’s very calm.”

“You look across every team, you’ll see guys are sitting there on their phones in the buses,” Leipus observed. “It is a problem. One of the best things the ICC ever did was take phones away. When we go into the dressing room, guys can start talking again.”
